Dr. Ian B. Strachan, Department of Natural Resource Sciences

Welcome to the home of Micrometeorology at McGill University.

Dr. Strachan's team conducts field-based micrometeorological research centered on the ways in which human-induced management and modification of ecosystems influence surface-atmosphere interactions. Research is conducted in a variety of field locations including marsh wetlands in Eastern Ontario, hydroelectric reservoirs in James Bay, QC, peatlands along the north shore of the St. Lawrence, and the urban and suburban environments of Montreal.

Within this site you can find information about the Atmospheric and Environmental Research Lab, meet the team members, explore the research that the team is conducting, and discover opportunities for joining our team. Undergraduates can investigate which courses that Dr. Strachan teaches within this area of research.
